Description

Mid heel chelsea boot made in the usa The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When home-steading drew adventurous New England families to the West during the mid and late 1800's many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey. Today Frye remains true to its roots with its line of heritage boots, but continues to innovate as it introduces chic new handbags, pumps, and sandals to its collection.

These boots are beautiful!A few notes though:(1) I am a true 7.5 and I ordered a 7.5. It was very tight around the toes and the ball of my foot. I had to return because of sizing.(2) They are pretty slim at the top of the boot. Your options for styling are definitely dresses, cuffing your jeans, or under flares. It looked a little silly with skinny jeans tucked in. I was disappointed because that was a look I was going for.(3) The bottom is a little slippery. I’m a little worried that the grip isn’t enough to keep a person from falling on slick floors.Love the boots - they are beautiful but had to return for a size 6... the 6.5 was too roomy and I feared after wearing them over time they’d stretch and they’d be too Loose and clunky... I’m always in between sizes but don’t understand how anyone could say they fit snug or are too narrow because I’ve got pretty wide feet! Hope this helps because I couldn’t find these anywhere in store to try on in Chicago!I have never owned a "nice" pair of leather boots. These are craft boots that will keep your feet comfy and protected. I really like these a lot. It was hard to justify spending this much on a pair of boots, but the quality really makes them worth it. I ordered a half size up, because I heard Frye boots are narrow and tight, glad I did, they fit perfectly!Sparkly but badaz, can go gothy/glam/rocker or cowgirl. The heel and ball of the foot are normal width but the toes curve in sharply. Kind of wish I'd gone up a half size to a 9, they're going to need stretching to be wearble for long periods.❤️ I keep them out just to look at them. It’s snowing so I can’t wear till spring. Yummy. Worth waiting for, far more satisfying. Now want to buy the silver tips. They fit but are not as comfortable as hoped for. They are narrow in the front and by the end of the night my feet really hurt ?Very nice my new favorite boot. Get lots of complimentsI love these boots. They fit great, as usual with Frye, and they are sparkly and fun!I don't think those are authentic???I will return them. It's genuine leather for sure, but this stitching on the picture is a terrible job done.Love these boots! They look and feel great.
